AltheaYoga International Yoga Retreats: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEPOSIT A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required for your reservation to be confirmed. This amount is outlined on the specific retreat page, and is applied to your total retreat fee. If your reservation is made within 120 days of the departure date then the additional 50% of your remaining balance is also due at the time of registration. If your reservation is made within 90 days of the departure date, the full retreat fee is due at the time of registration.
FULL PAYMENT Upon receipt of your deposit and registration form, you will receive a waiver, and an invoice for the balance. If you have chosen to make payments, 50% of your balance is due 120 days prior to the start of the retreat, and full payment is due 90 days prior to the start of the retreat. You may pay via PayPal, credit card or check (preferred). Please note a fee of 4% will automatically be added to all credit card payments.
LATE PAYMENTS I must pay my retreat centers and vendors in advance, therefore I must receive your full payment no later than 90 days in advance of the start of the retreat. If you do not pay in full in 90 days or more from the start of the retreat, a $150 late payment fee will be added to your invoice.
CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel before more than 120 days before the start of the retreat, monies received beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded (less any credit card fees, if applicable). If you cancel less than 120 days prior to the start of the yoga retreat, a refund of monies paid beyond the non-refundable deposit is only available if you can provide another client to fill your space. PLEASE NOTE: there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy will apply, with no exceptions. I wish I could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances, but I have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and vendors. I have designed this cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. To insure yourself further, I strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
IF I CANCEL THE YOGA RETREAT I have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if I do cancel a trip due to not enough participants, I will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid (less credit card fees). I cannot, however, compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event I must cancel a yoga retreat due to weather, natural disaster, pandemic, war, political upheaval, or any other circumstance outside of my control, I cannot guarantee any refunds. To cover these risks, again, I highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
TRAVEL INSURANCE I STRONGLY suggest that each participant purchase individual travel insurance for their trip. It can be a minimal expense for the benefits it provides. I suggest that you include the "cancel for any reason" option and a policy that includes medical coverage. The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance. Travel insurance can protect you in case:
you cancel your participation in the yoga retreat
retreat is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, political upheaval, war, or not enough participants to run the retreat
lost or delayed baggage
medical expenses should you become ill or injured
TRAVELGUARD offers a variety of trael insurances, including the option for a comprehensive "cancel for any reason" policy. If you have to cancel your participation in the retreat, your airfare, accommodations, retreat costs, etc. up until 48 hours prior to travel, are typically covered. There are plenty of other insurance companies, so please do your research to find what meets your needs best. Please note, it is common with many companies that you must purchase the policy within 15 days of buying your airline tickets or incurring any costs for any part of your travel.
